
The Sigma Delta Tau Chi Chapter at the University of Michigan was founded on March 16th, 1944. We are located at 1405 Hill Street in Ann Arbor in the original house we were founded in. The house truly serves as a home away from home for all of our members. As an organization of over 150 members, we are dedicated to forming sisterhood bonds that last long beyond graduation, having fun, improving the University of Michigan community, and performing philanthropy. Our purpose is “to form a close social and fraternal union of those of similar ideals and to foster, maintain and instill such ideals in the hearts of its members as will result in actions worthy of the highest precepts of true womanhood, democracy and humanity.”
We are an award winning chapter and have received awards from both the Panhellenic community at the University of Michigan and the Sigma Delta Tau National Organization. The following are recent honors we have been awarded:
