MIXERS
We have a great social calendar of mixers with different fraternities on campus. Mixers provide a time for the SDT sisters to have fun and meet boys in different fraternities. Some of our favorite themed mixers this year were Workout Gear, Mardi Gras, and a Jersey Party.
DATE PARTIES/FORMALS
The SDT sisters always look forward to the date parties and formals they have each semester. Semi-formal is held in fall semester, formal is held in winter semester, and date parties are held in both semesters. Date parties and formals are hosted at different venues in the Michigan area.
SISTERHOOD EVENTS
Each month our chapter holds sisterhood events, in which members from all pledge classes come together to participate in some fun activity. Every year we have all the members come to the house to watch away football games, where we can all show off our Michigan spirit! We also attend other sporting events such as a Michigan hockey game or a Detroit Pistons game. Other fun sisterhood events include laser tag, Spice Girl concert, bowling, and painting the famous Michigan rock!
GREEK WEEK
Each year SDT participates in the University of Michigan Greek Week, which raises monetary support for national and local charitable organizations through cultivating leadership, service, and community within the U of M campus and the greater Ann Arbor area. During Greek Week the Panhellenic Council teams up with the Interfraternity Council, Multicultural Greek Council, and the National Pan-Hellenic Council in a series of fun competitions. SDT is paired up with other fraternities and sororities to form a team that competes in different events such as Sing and Variety, volleyball, a swim meet, ping pong, etc. The team has fun at team mixers and also bonds throughout the competitions.
Our chapter has come in 2nd place two years in a row! In addition we have won different Greek Week awards such as first place in team spirit, best Greek Week representative the past two years, first place in Penny Wars, and have placed in both sing and variety.
